Duke of Edinburgh
The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme is an enrichment program designed to bring out the best in young people who want to achieve new skills and challenge themselves. The scheme has been running in NSW since 1962 and has over 12 000 participants commencing their Duke of Edinburgh each year.
Students choose from a wide range of activities which suit their particular interests, needs and abilities. Students usually progress through the three award levels - Bronze, Silver, Gold - between Years 9 and 12. Within each level students take part in all four sections of the Award: Service, Expeditions, Skills and Physical Recreation.
All students in Year 9 will qualify for their Bronze Medallion through the College Outdoor Education Program.
