Day 13 – Galstaun College students started their second day in Artsakh by laying flowers at the tombstone of Armenian martyrs at the Stepanakert Memorial. After this, they visited the National Assembly, where Vahram Balayan, the Vice President, addressed our students and responded to their questions regarding the history of Artsakh. Students also met with the Minister of Education, Narine Aghabalyan, who asked questions to our students regarding Galstaun College and suggested possibilities of future collaborations. Afterwards students visited the ARS Sosse Kindergarten (pre-school) and enjoyed a performance by the children of the Kindergarten and spent some time interacting with them. The next stop was at the monument of Tatik-Papik which represents the mountain people of Artsakh and their strong will-power. After lunch at the Viaggio Restaurant, students visited the Army Barracks of Artsakh where they were greeted by the sport and fitness trainer, Major Armen Petrosyan who introduced our students to the various sections and activities of the Barracks and ran a fun training session which formed the highlight of our students’ day at Stepanakert.
