Day 5 – At 10:00 am, Galstaun College Year 10 and 11 students were picked up at the Erebuni Hotel and headed to the city of Vagharshapat (Ejmiatsin) in the province of Armavir. First, they visited Hripsime Church and then the Ejmiatsin Cathedral which was founded by Gregory the Illuminator. The students received a blessing from the Catholicos of all Armenians Karekin II, who greeted our students as the clergy were proceeding to the cathedral for the start of the mass. After this, the students paid a visit to the ruins of Zvartnots Cathedral. The day was concluded by dinner at Genatsvale Restaurant, after which students were guided through a stroll at the Cascade and the popular streets of Yerevan.
