Offering a totally unique education that provides the best of both worlds – spanning the Armenian culture and modern curriculum.

Galstaun College offers a unique education for students starting in Pre-Kindergarten all the way through to Year 12. This means families can have the security of knowing their children can all attend one campus for their Reception, Primary and High schooling journey – meaning they will have friendships for life and teachers who know them personally throughout their schooling years.

Apart from a challenging curriculum program and the opportunity to participate in music, sports and Duke of Edinburgh and outdoor education activities, all students attend Armenian Studies lessons once a week. This unique aspect of our offering at Galstaun College sets us apart by providing students with a deep and meaningful education into Armenian language, history and culture.

A Galstaun education provides students with a balanced education through national curriculum, Armenian studies and rewarding co-curriculum programs and activities, resulting in well-rounded students who are prepared for life beyond school.

Throughout the course of each term, students will participate in activities that promote the attributes of a Galstaun College student – to be independent, resourceful, respectful, open-minded and resilient. A whole College approach has been adopted that focuses on skills being explicitly taught and built upon in each year level to ensure continued development. It is extremely important for the students to work towards positive goals both socially and academically.

Staff may use a number of strategies regularly in their classrooms to reinforce positive behaviour or manage inappropriate behaviour and these are at the discretion of the staff member. In addition, House points will also be awarded during each week to individual students with the aim of promoting a positive team environment for all students. A tally will be maintained to determine a winning House at the end of each week and then year.
