Hamazkaine Arshak and Sophie Galstaun College (known as Galstaun College), located in Ingleside, on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, is the only bi-lingual Armenian Christian Pre-Kindy to Year 12 co-educational College in Australia.

It has an outstanding reputation for delivering a well-rounded education with a modern curriculum and balanced co-curricular offering where students attain a deep sense of belonging to their Armenian heritage and community. Students at Galstaun grow to believe in their potential and grasp opportunities to become more than they thought possible.

Founded in 1986, Galstaun College delivers a well-rounded education for youth from both Armenian and local families in the north Sydney area.

Founded in 1986, the College has grown from a small number of classes to providing a full primary and secondary education on the one campus. Class sizes are small and enable qualified, experienced teachers to deliver a more personalised education for each and every child. This educational model means individual educational plans are developed and progress of each student is monitored.

Galstaun is a very unique College, in that students learn both English and Armenian and have dedicated class time every week to learn about Armenian heritage, culture and traditions. In many ways, students are immersed in Armenian history and develop an appreciation and pride in their culture. Our College truly offers the best of both worlds.

Along with the Armenian studies, students benefit from exposure to the National Curriculum and enjoy many other cultural and sporting pursuits. Technology plays a strong part in the delivery of the curriculum with a commitment to investment in technology to enhance teaching and learning.

Facilities at the College are modern and architecturally-designed with students enjoying multi-purpose rooms that provide agile learning spaces.

Families who enrol their children at Galstaun become part of a warm and welcoming community which enjoys a strong sense of shared Armenian culture and connections. When asked about the College, the first thing parents say is how exceptional the community is.

Students at Galstaun become confident and capable young citizens of the world prepared for future careers in whatever endeavours they choose, but they also develop a strong set of values which help shape their character and their belonging to the Armenian community.
